Lt. Festschrift "90 Jahre Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung" wird sie bereits am 02.03.1925 in Berlin gegründet. 1933 Verbot der Stiftung durch die Nationalsozialisten. Im Januar 1947 Wiedergründerung des FES. Am 01.04.1954 erfindet sich die Organisation neu und gründet den gemeinnützigen Verein "Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung zur Förderung demokratischer Volkserziehung e.V."(Eintrag als gemeinnütziger Verein in Bonn). Ab Mai 1956 werden die Geschäfte in Bonn geführt. 1999 Eröffnung eines Konferenz- und Tagungszentrums in Berlin - die zweite Zentrale der FES. 2008 Umzug der internationalen Arbeit nach Berlin. |
