Time series (1) was derived from (3) by using the Complex Refraction Index model of Roth et al. (1990), aggregating to hourly time steps and afterwards applying two temperature correction schemes. The time series (2) and (3) were measured with the SMT100 sensor (Truebner GmbH, Mannheim, Germany), while (4) was measured with a double ring infiltrometer under falling head conditions (diameter inner and outer ring: 320 mm and 556 mm respectively). The Pennman-Monteith equation together with the parameterization recommended by Allen et al. (1998) was used to calculate (7).
