Der Theaterbau löste die seit 1794 in einer umgebauten Reitbahn befindliche Interimsspielstätte ab. Nach dem Brand von 1922 sollte die ehemalige Reitbahn bis zur Eröffnung des Neubaus 1938 für 15 Jahre Theaterspielstätte werden. |
