arbeitete von 1991-2001 als freiberufliche Übersetzerin für humanitäre Fragen. Im Anschluß an die Promotion im Fach Soziologie 2001 an der Universität Potsdam war sie von 2001-2006 Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Kulturwissenschaftlichen Institut der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. In diesen Jahren war sie mehrmals Professeur Invité an der Université Paris 7 – Denis Diderot (2004, 2006, 2007). 2006 folgte sie dem Ruf auf eine DAAD Associate Professur an der University of Washington (Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies), Seattle, USA, wo sie von 2006-2010 lehrte und forschte. 2008 habilitierte sie sich an der Universität Potsdam im Fach Soziologie mit der venia legendi für Allgemeine Soziologie. 2010-2011 war sie Visiting Fellow am Woolf Institute (Centre for the Study of Jewish-Christian Relations), Cambridge, UK. Im Jahr 2012 nahm sie den Ruf an die Universität Bayreuth an. |
