Dt. Tenor; Wuchs in Nußloch auf. Besuchte eine Höhere Handelsschule und absolvierte anschließend eine dreijährige kaufmännische Lehre. Studierte danach zwei Jahre Gesang an der Badischen Hochschule für Musik in Karlsruhe. Er debütierte 1934 in Karlsruhe als Konzertsänger. 1935-38 festes Ensemblemitglied am Badischen Staatstheater Karlsruhe. 1946-48 Gastvertrag am Nationaltheater Mannheim. Ab 1948 als freischaffender Opern- und Konzertsänger tätig, u.a. beim Süddeutschen Rundfunk in Stuttgart. Ab 1960 lehrte er auch als Gesangspädagoge in Heidelberg und Mannheim. |
