Umfasst 11 theatre airs, von denen einige vermutlich von Robert Smith stammen, für das von der "Duke's Company" aufgeführte Theaterstück, UA 30.04.1674 (Dorset Garden Theatre, London); gemäß der Vorlage wurden Theatermelodien für normale gesprochene Stücke in kleinen Musiksälen wahrscheinlich in einfacher Besetzung ohne Continuo gespielt, bei Aufführungen am Hof mit Streichorchester (Twenty-Four Violins), und dramatische Opern im Dorset Garden Theatre, London wurden mit Orchester mit Continuo-Instrumenten gespielt |
